A Trip to Paris

Grey skies created some opportunities for dramatic light and color in my photos during a week-long visit to Paris in October, 2022. The place was extremely crowded due, in part, to the strength of the U.S. dollar and pent-up demand for travel post-Covid. I did my best to avoid the tourists and tried not to shoot them.

Bridges make great subjects, and colorful sunsets add to the romance and beauty of the City of Light.

Another historic building. Another wonderful bridge. Another golden-hour sunset.

We learned a lot from tour guides as we explored the city by foot and on bikes. We also mastered the Metro pretty quickly and found Uber to be a good back-up when needed.

Did I mention that we were in Paris during Fashion Week?

I think this is a monument to the inventor of the selfie.

Needless to say, we didn't go hungry in Paris. We could have lived by baguette alone.

I enjoyed experimenting with creating cityscapes reflected in store windows.

C'est moi, inspired by Monet.

And you didn't think I'd leave you without a phallic shot of the Eiffel Tower, did you?
